Review of Forums and other help

Well, those shopkeepers were right, that Tanith sure knows her stuff.  Didn’t find her site?  It is TutorTanith.com Here are a couple of my favorite parts that will be very applicable for us:

  1.  Start with the Basics - did you know that each of those underlined items can be clicked on to display more information?
  2. ALL of her advice about reading the Terms of Service and the CafePress Usage Policy (CUP).  Why?  Because shopkeepers get “flagged” for using copyrighted material on a design and that design basically goes into the garbage bin.  All that time that you spent “creating”, uploading, tagging, describing, placing in your shop, applying to all products, resizing, etc. is now lost.  Read those service agreements, and be conscious about the designs you use.
  3. I like that in general the site starts with “Newbie” tips and goes into more advanced techniques.

So, if you want to work ahead of the rest of us, feel free to read all of Tutor Tanith’s site right now and dive right in.  At some point we will cover most of everything she has on her site as well, so if you want to keep moving with us and help each other on the way, great, that is what the site is here for.

As that site is by far the best tips site I have seen, I will give you more time to read through the things.  Don’t worry about memorizing any of the tips, we can always go back to the site to review things when we get to certain stages.  Knowing what type if information is there though will help you when you are stuck or want to learn more.

What parts did you find interesting?
